Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has planned to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha Limited (IPICOL) for setting up a 3×800 MW thermal power plant (TPP) near Naini mine and a 500 MW pumped storage project (PSP) in Odisha.
The 3×800 MW TPP will be implemented as a captive power plant and is expected to come up near Naini mine in Odisha at two suggested sites – Jarpada/Tukuda, and Handappa/Binanali.
