GAIL plans Rs 32.95 billion 600 MW solar and battery storage project in Uttar Pradesh

GAIL (India) Limited is planning to set up a 600 MW greenfield solar power project in Uttar Pradesh for Rs 32.95 billion.

The project will include 600 MW of solar capacity along with a 550 MWh co-located battery energy storage system to improve reliability and efficiency of power supply. The project is expected to be completed within 15 months from the award of the engineering, procurement and construction contract and will be funded through a mix of debt and equity.
