Jyothi Electricals & Engineering Company has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) by quoting Rs 1,708.65 million for combined package for 110/11 kV Sub-station at Thokkottu and 66/11 kV Sub-station at Banahalli in Karnataka. Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) invited bids for the same in February 2026.
Combined Package for: Work A) Upgradation of 33/11kV Sub-station to 1×20 MVA, 110/33 kV & 2×20 MVA, 110/11 kV Sub-station at Thokkottu in Ullala Taluk, Dakshina Kannada District and construction of 110 kV LILO line from existing 110 kV KonajeJeppu line with Lynx/Drake Conductor and design based 110 kV Monopole upto CTT Point for a distance of 1.91 km along with laying of 110 kV, 1CX630 sqmm UG Cable from CTT point to proposed 110 kV Sub-station at Thokkottu for a distance of 2.52 km in Ullala Taluk, Dakshina Kannada District. Work B) Establishing 2X20 MVA, 66/11 kV Sub-station at Banahalli along with running of 66 kV, 1000 Sqmm UG Cable from proposed CTT (near ITC Factory) in existing 66 kV MalurHosakote Line-2 for a route length of 6.25 km to the proposed 66/11kV Sub-station at Banahalli in Hosakote Taluk, Bengaluru Rural District., on total turnkey basis including supply of all materials/ equipments, erection (including civil and dismantling works) of all materials/equipments, testing and commissioning.
The work is expected to be completed in 18 months.
