RfS bids invited for minimum 640 MW pumped storage plant by using upper reservoir at Rihand dam, lower reservoir at Obra dam at Sonbhadra district in Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL) invited Request For Selection (RfS) bids for the selection of a developer to set up a minimum 640 MW Pumped Hydro Storage Plant (PSP) using the upper reservoir at Rihand Dam and the lower reservoir at Obra Dam, Sonebhadra district in Uttar Pradesh, on build, own, operate (BOO) mode under tariff based competitive bidding (TBCB) process on February 18, 2026.
